Food trends beefing up

Consumers are asking for animals to be farmed more humanely and retailers and producers are listening and making changes for the better. This is great news for animals and we feel a very promising future for Australian agriculture.

Higher welfare farming costs more though so, as consumers, we must be willing to pay more to ensure farmers can care for their animals, care for the land and maintain their livelihoods.

    The five trends is something all consumers should be aware of. It’s sad that consumers SAY they want humane food but don’t always act on it. Maybe this article is just the beginning (hopefully!) of true higher welfare movement.
